Type of Joint

Pic 1. Overlap joint: The overlap joint is for belts with a  paper backing. It is the ideal joint to avoid chatter marks an over thickness of the joint.

Pic 2. Tape on top Joint : For belts with a polyester or cloth backing used in drum sanders

Pic 3. Sinelock joint : For specific applications, especially ski manufacturers. Belts with these types of joint are maily used on Costa XGS sanding systems.

Pic 4. Butt joint: The butt joint is a standard joint in narrow or wide belts with a cloth or paper backing
